Is is Verizon Up that is in the Verizon app only for post paid accounts? I have a prepaid account and that Verizon Up is not on there for me.

  7. Rafa RS on April 6, 2021 at 4:59 pm

I’m just getting $450 for switching back to Verizon. Very easy to set up teacher discount. Verizon is by far the greatest company in the country, especially in FL.

If I buy an unlocked phone and just swap the sim card, are they still going to hit me with the upgrade fee?

  10. Kenbo on April 6, 2021 at 5:01 pm

All I did was sit in the store and wait for someone to help me for 45 minutes then they said we’re sorry for the long wait. We’re gonna waive any fees and give you a phone case and screen protector free. And they did . Verizon was cool

  11. Kat Trina on April 6, 2021 at 5:03 pm

Shocking charges over $100 is vz scaming? Im supposed to be on senior plan $45 a month checking with mint mobile or Google fi Or spectrum.

  12. Wake Up Enterprises on April 6, 2021 at 5:04 pm

The best strategy to save money on Verizon Wireless is to cancel the service! I was with Verizon Wireless for years thinking that the overall strength of the network and coverage was worth the $135.00+ monthly bill.

I realized after switching to Spectrum Mobile that the high price of Verizon was not worth what I was paying. My experience with Spectrum Mobile after switching a few months ago has been 5-star. The service is more then adequate for $55.00 a month compared to Verizon Wireless overpriced monthly rate of $137.00+. That’s $80.00+ in monthly savings!

I wish a knew about Spectrum Mobile years ago. I would have saved close to $1,000.00+ utilizing their service instead.

Very helpful didn’t know about Verizon up thank you and I’ve had my phone a year and a half

  17. David Wooten on April 6, 2021 at 5:09 pm

Walmart is a good place to buy a postpaid phone. You pay the full activation fee but typically get all your savings on the device upfront. This means if you want to pay off early you can without losing savings.

I think Verizon has some shady billing practices. My parents are senior citizens and have a bundle with a landline house phone, 2 Mobile flip phones, Cable and internet. They had kept saying a past due amount back in June 2020 when my mom was talking to them in early September. So I was on the phone and asked how can you keep adding a past due balance when they are paid up currently? Anyways my Mom goes and pays that past due bill and current. Recently saw the same past due balance issue popping up again. Should I report them to the BBB for trying scam my parent’s?

Do you know of any discounts for a 50 Yr. Old Disabled person?

He doesn’t want to lease a phone or trade in later. He wants to own the phone.
He pays cash up front — no monthly payments.

He doesn’t leave house often or makes calls.
He primarily uses his phone to access the internet at home,

He currently has the NOTE 5, that he’s had for 5 years.
He’s interested in purchasing the NOTE 20 Ultra.
What do you think about that phone?
He pays $40. mo. for T-Mobile plan.

He doesn’t like or want to be locked into a contract.

What plan might be suitable for him?
    What do you recommend?

I am wary and not sure believe you and I’ve been holding and wasted 4 hours this week and can’t get through

  27. Matthew Stringfield on April 6, 2021 at 5:26 pm

A lot of what you said is still applies. I wish people would do their own research before calling and demanding credits. People are quick to bash Verizon, but forget they were the ones that came and wanted service it wasn’t the other way around. Lol

  28. mike miles on April 6, 2021 at 5:27 pm

Very helpful video, my wife and I need new iPhones and we have an old Version plan and we are both over 65 and retired so I am going to call Verizon tomorrow and see what I can come up with.

  29. Yolanda Roque on April 6, 2021 at 5:27 pm

thanks Good info. What can I expect as a new customer?

  30. Nesar Sultani on April 6, 2021 at 5:29 pm

Every time I called Verizon Wireless I had to wait over an hour to talk to someone. I ported my 4 phones from Sprint to Verizon in search of good customer service and good phone coverage. Not only my phones still in Sprint network but also Verizon failed to deliver the simcards on timely manner.

  31. Mr Green on April 6, 2021 at 5:31 pm

I guess they offer a student discount now.

  32. tim Laufenberg on April 6, 2021 at 5:31 pm

Very good information Sir! Been buying older phones on ebay that are brand new for $250 and always have a spare phone so no insurance. I do not need the new thing!

  34. porscheoscar on April 6, 2021 at 5:33 pm

I had T-Mobile. I switched to Verizon for their unlimited data plan $30. Verizon and the FCC made an agreement they could not throttle us because we had unlimited data. That was in 2010. A few months after my switch Verizon ended unlimited. I have kept it ever since using typically about 50 GB per month. They would routinely call to get me to switch. I always said go away. Finally T-Mobile got their act together and Verizon brought back unlimited data to compete.
I’m paying $50 for the unthrotled data. Well actually if Verizon throttle me they have to throttle everyone they can’t single me out unless I exceed 100 GB which I never do now because of covid I’m always working from home.
I just paid off my Note 9 Samsung. I have a second line for my Samsung watch which is $15. So total damage is $150. But I had to pay an extra $20 for more minutes after running into my second overage. So $170 for a single line.

I want the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 but I’m not paying $2k. T-Mobile has a 50% discount on that phone but it’s credits over 2.5 years. Either way I don’t need this unlimited data unthrotled for at least another year. And Verizon confirmed that unlimited data will not extend to the 5G data.

  35. Jeremiah Lyman on April 6, 2021 at 5:33 pm

    Safe and sound

  36. Michael Lange on April 6, 2021 at 5:36 pm

I work in walmart as a vender but i sell phones through verizon or at&t. i’ve noticed that the shared data plans can be more expensive than the unlimited plans if you have more than 3 lines. at 4 lines its $35 a month per line and for unlimited talk text and data and at 5+ lines its $30 a month per line. the unlimited shared data plan is a rip off and you should never get it. depending on if your local walmart has a vendor in like the one i work for you could add lines and or upgrade lines and they offer pretty good discounts. as of right now all iphones xr and up are $100 off. the xs is $399 and the xs max is $499. The se 2nd gen is only $200. that being said you have to finance them. but unlike most of the usual discounts verizon has these one will still apply if you happen to wanna pay off your phone early.

    How come you left Verizon?

  39. Bear Hall on April 6, 2021 at 5:40 pm

I am looking at Mint mobile. Ive been with Verizon for over a decade, but I can’t help but feel like we are being screwed, when mint mobile has unlimited plans at 15 bucks a month. You don’t get the perks… but I am still trying to figure out what the perks are.

At 10:55 you mentioned that authorized retailers do not honor accessory discounts. Victra does, they honored it last week when I went in to buy a charger. They checked my account before they charged me. Good info!!

  42. Radeon Vector on April 6, 2021 at 5:42 pm

You worked at Verizon? What’s the difference between .002 dollars and .002 cents?

  43. Donkey KingKong on April 6, 2021 at 5:46 pm

Those accessory bundles are a rip off, Amazon, ebay or Wal-Mart is cheaper

Hi! I just ordered the 12 pro max online. This is my first time ordering from Verizon website online. I don’t have a account or anything. I ordered the 2 day shipping on the 31st & it’s already the 3rd. Do you know when I will receive my order? I can’t track it too because they haven’t send me the tracker after I verified my identification. Do you know what I can do or what’s going on? I tried to contact the Verizon and they don’t help much.

Verizon wireless internet is too slow and expensive, could this be a tactic to make you buy the new phones for 5G?
